Dorćol Intersections: Clatter of Cultures is an audiovisual collage capturing the old-town spirit of Belgrade, nestled between the industrial zone, the river promenade, and the inner city. This area is now undergoing gentrification and the rise of modern architecture—styles that were never characteristic of this part of the city. Preserved by the soundscapes of the river, the calls of seagulls, and the echoes of Czech trams from the 1960s, the citizens of Dorćol now face the noise of construction sites, increased traffic, and the proliferation of trendy cafes, which stand in stark contrast to the traditional ones. Despite the radical architectural changes of the past five years, parts of the neighbourhood have retained their charm. This audiovisual essay aims to showcase the various facets of Dorćol, its sense of "settlement," and to serve as a unique archival material that can communicate with future generations.
