Gearless jam is a novel and progressive approach to music production and performance where musicians create and perform music without using any gear. Instead, they rely on their own bodies, utilizing elements such as pain detection, the sound of friction between body parts, bowel movements, and, of course, their vocal cords. This approach emphasizes hands-on, real-time human interaction, often leading to a more spontaneous and organic creative process.
The appeal of gearless jamming lies in its intimate and tactile nature, where musicians interact directly with themselves and others, often resulting in more dynamic and expressive performances.
The performance shows violence and other potentially
triggering content. The audience is welcome to participate in the
performance but are asked not to stop the performers.
