Intermediate Circumstance Radio is an uninterrupted 12-hour sound and video art installation representing the Tīrkultūra community - a collective of diverse artists, poets, live performers, and DJs who contributed to their studio space at Kim? Contemporary Art Centre EDEN festival from June to August 2024.
This installation is a multi-layered audiovisual journey that encapsulates the essence of Tīrkultūra, highlighting new performances, DJ sets, live recordings, and interviews captured during our summer residency. Each hour will spotlight a dierent artist, providing an immersive experience of the varied creative forces that dene Tīrkultūra’s community.
This work serves as a living archive, blurring the lines between live performance, radio broadcast, and video art. The intention is to create a sense of immediacy and presence, echoing the unltered energy of live performances and the spontaneous nature of radio art.
tīrkultūra is an interdisciplinary contemporary culture platform working mainly through the medium of sound.
